Housing Support Worker

Hamilton Woods is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Young Persons Support Worker to join our team in Blackburn. As a key member of our social housing provider, you will play a vital role in supporting young individuals in achieving their goals and living independently.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a caseload of approximately 12 clients, providing guidance and support to help them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
- Liaise with Local Authorities housing teams to facilitate new applications and ensure a smooth transition for our clients.
- Support the maintenance of the client waiting list, ensuring that all necessary information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Assess new clients' support needs and develop personalized plans to help them achieve their goals.
- Ensure clients understand and adhere to their tenancy agreements, promoting a culture of responsibility and respect.
- Enable clients to access employment, education, and training opportunities, empowering them to build a brighter future.
- Safeguard clients and report any concerns, prioritizing their well-being and safety above all else.
- Monitor tenants' rent accounts and provide support to maximize their income, promoting financial stability and independence.
- Promote clients to live independently and build lasting life skills, empowering them to thrive in their personal and professional lives.
- Enhanced DBS clearance
