As a key member of the CooperVision team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing a comprehensive ethics and compliance programme that aligns with CooperCompanies' compliance initiatives and policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and recommend policies and practices to strengthen compliance across CooperVision, in alignment with CooperCompanies.
- Work with the Legal team to schedule and conduct training on compliance issues.
- Establish compliance horizon scanning activities with the wider business and Legal team.
- Identify key areas of risk and implement risk and compliance remediation initiatives.
- Assist with instructing and managing external counsel to advise on global trade compliance matters, with a particular focus on sanctions.
- Provide assistance with analysing, implementing and managing internal processes necessary to ensure compliance with global trade compliance legislation, with a particular focus on sanctions.
- Lead, support and co-ordinate global projects and initiatives relating to Global Legal Operations to drive consistency, efficiency and shared best practice.
- Implement scalable legal process improvements that support business growth whilst maintaining compliance.
- Lead and manage ad hoc risk and compliance projects.
- A minimum of 5 years in-house experience of structuring, developing and rolling out global ethics and compliance programmes.
- Commercially minded, decisive, highly organised coupled with great project management skills.
