Job Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Visa Sponsorship

Working Pattern
This is a part-time role, working 32.5 hours per week over 39 weeks per year, including inset days.

Contract Type
This is a permanent contract.

Full-time Equivalent Salary
The salary for this role is £19,631.00 per annum, dependent on experience.

Job Summary
Inspiring Primaries Academy Trust is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Ullesthorpe CE Primary School. As a key member of our SEND team, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide expert support to students with SEND.

Key Responsibilities
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing expert support to students with SEND, including those with cognition and learning difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health needs, communication and interaction difficulties, and sensory and physical difficulties.
  • Working closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans for students with SEND.
  • Supporting students with their academic and personal development, including providing one-to-one support and small group work.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the school's SEND strategy.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A minimum of two years' experience working in a school setting.
  • Expertise in one area of SEND, including cognition and learning, social, emotional, and mental health, communication and interaction, or sensory and physical difficulties.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to provide expert support to students with SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
