Job DescriptionHealthcare Support Role

As a valued member of the Blind Veterans UK team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Wellbeing team to deliver person-centered care and support to blind veterans. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with the planning and delivery of care and support services, ensuring that each veteran receives the highest standards of care and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the administration of medication for our veterans, ensuring that each individual receives the correct dosage and treatment.
• Support veterans with their personal care needs, maintaining high standards of hygiene and promoting independence.
• Collaborate with the Wellbeing team to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each veteran.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to our veterans, promoting a sense of community and belonging.

Requirements:

• A strong understanding of healthcare principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with veterans and colleagues alike.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload and priorities.
• A commitment to upholding the values and mission of Blind Veterans UK.
