Role Overview:
In the capacity of a Wireless Network Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include the design, implementation, management, and troubleshooting of wireless networking solutions. Your expertise will be focused on industry-leading technologies such as Meraki, Aruba, Cisco, and Ekahau. You will collaborate closely with esteemed clients to ensure their wireless networks are secure, efficient, and optimized for peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in project-based assignments.
- Deploy and configure wireless networking solutions utilizing various vendors.
- Oversee and maintain wireless network infrastructure, including access points, controllers, and related devices.
- Diagnose and resolve wireless network challenges, including interference, connectivity, and performance issues.
- Monitor the performance of wireless networks and generate regular reports on usage, performance metrics, and potential concerns.
- Implement security measures to protect wireless networks from unauthorized access and threats.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate wireless solutions with existing network frameworks.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams regarding wireless technologies and best practices.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in wireless technology.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the deployment and management of wireless networks, particularly with Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Ubiquiti, and Ekahau.
- Strong grasp of wireless networking principles, including standards, RF design, and security protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Ubiquiti, Ekahau, Aruba Mobility Controllers, Aruba Central, and ClearPass.
- Proficient in network troubleshooting tools and techniques, including packet analyzers and wireless survey tools.
- Knowledgeable in LAN/WAN technologies, IP routing, switching, and network security.
- Possession of relevant certifications.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience in a managed service provider environment is advantageous.
