Job Title: Welfare Benefits Advisor

We are seeking a skilled Welfare Benefits Advisor to join our team at mhs homes. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing expert guidance to our customers, helping them navigate complex benefit systems and maximise their income.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent mhs homes with integrity, maintaining positive relationships and continuously seeking service improvements.
  • Deliver high-quality service, assist with benefit claims, and represent clients in appeals.
  • Manage inquiries, support benefit take-up campaigns, and build partnerships with external agencies.
  • Utilize relevant systems and software effectively.
  • Provide tailored support to diverse customers and ensure compliance with the Equality Act and mhs policies.
  • Manage the Customer Support Fund.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience and qualifications:
    • Willingness to pursue a relevant professional qualification.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent listening, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Knowledge of welfare benefits legislation and experience in delivering customer service and managing complex cases.
    • Resilient and professional in challenging situations.
    • Sensitive to cultural diversity with a commitment to inclusive support.
    • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage a varied workload independently.
