This company is experiencing a period of significant growth and is scaling up its back-office service teams. As a result, they have a brand new and full-time position for a skilled Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities of a Financial Controller:

  • Preparation of timely monthly financial reports for three individual companies, including supporting analysis
  • Supporting the transactional finance team with month-end routines, including reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
  • Assisting the Financial Manager with preparing rolling forecasts
  • Assisting with process improvements and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assisting with intercompany invoicing and reconciliation
  • Overseeing the VAT process and submissions to both HMRC and Irish Revenue
  • Preparing weekly payment runs for three purchase ledgers
  • Managing Debtors alongside other finance team members
  • Margin analysis
  • Preparing Sales commission statements
  • Pricing profitability analysis
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual accounts and financial audits
  • Supporting the Finance Manager, Finance Director, and finance team

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Accounting qualifications are essential (CIMA preferable)
  • Previous experience of working in a financial payments environment will be a significant advantage
  • Experience of supervising a finance team on a day-to-day basis
  • Ability to liaise professionally with customers and suppliers via video conferencing
  • Confident working and communicating financial information with all levels of the business
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Able to maintain attention to detail, while multitasking
  • Experience of Sage 50, Xero, or similar accounting systems
  • Solid Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams etc) including essential intermediate/advanced Excel skills
