Lichfield, Staffordshire, United Kingdom NHS Lothian Full time
About the Role

NHS Lothian is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workforce, promoting equality and eliminating unlawful discrimination. Our goal is to create a truly representative team where each employee feels valued and empowered to excel.

We are reducing our full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. This change reflects our commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being.

We will fully support disabled candidates, and those with long-term conditions or neurodivergent individuals by making reasonable adjustments to our recruitment policy and practices.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

About the Team

We are seeking an occupational therapist to join our West Lothian Mental Health Occupational Therapy Service based at St John's Hospital. This post will be based within a 9-month rotation covering acute admissions, Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit, and a Rehabilitation unit.

The post holder will work with a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the assessment and treatment of individuals referred to Occupational Therapy, focusing on the occupational, functional, and cognitive needs of this specific client group.

Candidates must have a keen interest in Mental Health and evidence-based practice. The service is committed to supervision, staff development, and student education. Successful candidates will be operationally and professionally managed with the Occupational Therapy Service.
