**Job Title: Mechanical Designer x 3**

Volantes Recruitment is seeking a skilled mechanical design engineer for a 12-month contract in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation or aerospace, with experience in aircraft cabin design and cabin furniture design.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Develop design schemes and proposals to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  2. Prepare CAD models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD software.
  3. Produce detailed mechanical designs, including the specification of fabrication, manufacture, and assembly processes.
  4. Liaise with production and installation departments to resolve design queries.
  5. Conduct technical surveys and 3D scanning on aircraft to gather required data.
  6. Prepare design documentation.
  7. Engage in ongoing professional development, attending training courses and seminars.
  8. Represent the company to customers and authorities within the mechanical design area of expertise.

**Requirements:**

  • Strong background in aviation or aerospace.
  • Experience in aircraft cabin design and cabin furniture design.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD software.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

**Rate:** Up to £45 per hour outside of IR35.
