With operational bases in multiple locations, we collaborate primarily with local authorities to deliver, install, and maintain top-quality transport solutions.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Installations Manager to oversee the installation of bus shelters, infrastructure, groundworks, and significant projects across the UK. This full-time role requires a commitment to excellence in project execution.
Your responsibilities will include leading the installation and site maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and customer specifications. You will have full accountability for safety, quality, cost management, and installation standards, while also planning and distributing work among a direct labor force and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Organize and schedule installation activities for bus stops, shelters, groundworks, and maintenance tasks, ensuring timely and efficient completion within budget.
- Regularly update the installation schedule and communicate changes to relevant personnel.
- Evaluate installation effectiveness and report findings to management.
- Establish departmental objectives and KPIs, monitoring the performance of team members.
- Lead the team, managing staffing levels, recruitment, training, and daily operations.
Financial Oversight
- Manage budgets for installation and maintenance projects.
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts, including capital expenditure proposals.
- Ensure adherence to budgetary targets.
Team Management
- Collaborate with the management team to enhance operational efficiency and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate proposed changes to working practices that enhance quality and service while optimizing costs.
Health and Safety Management
- Maintain health and safety records, conducting risk assessments and ensuring staff are informed of safety protocols.
- Develop and review operational processes, method statements, and risk assessments, ensuring proper implementation.
Site Inspections
- Conduct site inspections to gather accurate information for efficient and safe project execution.
- Plan multi-site surveys to assess work locations.
- Perform quality inspections of completed work and maintain records.
Qualifications
- Strong project management and site coordination skills.
- Experience in civil engineering and managing installation teams.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to analyze project needs and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in project management software.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
- Relevant certifications in project or construction management.
