Senior Strategic Planning Specialist

BNY Mellon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Strategic Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for identifying, documenting, and implementing potential solutions for complex business initiatives to improve business performance and realize strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Structure ambiguous problems and take action to solve them.
  • Synthesize clear takeaways from complex information with recommendations devised from both qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Work effectively with diverse teams to come up with the best solution and move people and organizations to act.
  • Establish trust-based relationships with internal teams to better serve our goals.
  • Communicate effectively with all audiences, including senior stakeholders, in a structured manner.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree: advanced graduate degree or equivalent with a number of years total work experience preferred; requirements may vary based on experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and create an inclusive environment across all levels of an organization.
  • Capability to drive an independent workstream within a broader project across a matrixed environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations.
  • Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and scrutiny.
  • Resilient, able to pivot in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and translate complex ideas into simple messages for executive-level audiences.
