Job Summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Senior Practitioner to join our team as a member of the Early Learning and Childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the care and education of children, with a focus on the Early Level curriculum and the pre-Birth to Three Framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement high-quality educational programs for children aged 0-5 years
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve excellent outcomes for children and families
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to early years education
  • Provide guidance and support to early years practitioners to ensure high-quality care and education
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the service

Requirements

  • Significant experience in early years education, preferably in a leadership or management role
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Level curriculum and the pre-Birth to Three Framework
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
