About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our catering team as a Catering Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the wider catering team in the provision of all catering services, including covering and supporting other catering roles as required by the needs of the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the catering team in the provision of all catering services, including covering and supporting other catering roles as required.
  • Prepare and serve food in the restaurant, coffee shop, and hospitality/function services.
  • Clean and maintain the catering department, including patient's crockery, cutlery, service utensils, food boxes, patient trays, flight dishwasher, floors, fridges, freezers, and Cook-Chill hold rooms.
  • Ensure basic food hygiene standards are maintained and breaches are communicated appropriately and in a timely manner, in accordance with the departmental food safety documentation.
  • Record accurate temperatures in line with food preparation and cooking procedures - HACCP.
  • Communicate and liaise with staff across the Trust.
