Job Title: Cover Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cover Supervisor to support students in various educational settings and ensure a conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage classroom behaviour to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with diverse needs, including those with autism and special education requirements, by providing individualized guidance and support.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment.
  • Mentor students, providing guidance and support as needed, to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Educate and engage students through creative teaching methods, promoting active learning and participation.
  • Communicate effectively with both students and teaching staff to ensure a smooth and efficient learning process.
  • Conduct tutoring sessions for students requiring additional academic support, helping them to catch up with their peers.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young adults is preferred, with a strong understanding of child development and learning theories.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and principles, including strategies for supporting students with autism and other special needs.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students, including those with diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents, including written and verbal communication.
  • Prior experience in mentoring or tutoring roles is a plus, with a proven track record of supporting students to achieve their academic goals.
  • Experience teaching in the UK, with a strong understanding of the UK education system and curriculum.
