Job Title: Lead Process Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Process Data Analyst to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our Business Improvement Team, you will play a critical role in delivering improvements and driving efficiencies for our Waste Treatment Operations.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your process knowledge and data handling and analytics skills to generate critical insights, informing decisions that impact our site performance. You will work closely with operational teams and other stakeholders across the company, sharing performance and risk insights to aid the consistent and efficient delivery of process performance commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with operational teams and other stakeholders to develop and maintain operational performance reports, delivering accurate and trusted reports and insights with appropriate commentary.
  • Own regulatory reports and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Use data insight and operational knowledge to create interventions for operational delivery teams, focusing on enhancing asset operation and/or risk.
  • Maintain existing data management processes, monitoring key data quality metrics and proactively consulting with company-wide functional experts and data engineers to resolve any process failures or data quality issues.
  • Develop and implement data tools and reporting to support the Business Improvement team and frontline operations.
Requirements
  • Proven record of data handling, analysis, and reporting experience, with some experience in the wastewater and sludge industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, including Excel, VBA, MS Access, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build positive relationships quickly.
  • Several years of relevant business or technical experience, with a strong understanding of data analysis and visualization.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to understand the wider context of analytical tasks.
