Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Nicholas Associates. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in controlling costs and ensuring the efficient delivery of groundworks projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Control costs of groundworks projects to ensure they are running efficiently, effectively, and profitably.
  • Measure all site works accurately and provide early cost advice to clients on variations.
  • Identify commercial risks and provide appropriate solutions or responses.
  • Undertake cost analysis working with company buyers and advise on procurement and cost control.
  • Produce a range of cost value reports and value completed work to ensure timely payments.
  • Understand the importance of cash flow and timely payments, including retention payments.
  • Build strong relationships with client staff and company production staff.
  • Allocate work to sub-contractors, including assistance with procurement when required.
  • Assist with the development of any assistants or trainees.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
  • Experience of working for a residential groundworks sub-contractor.
  • Knowledge of contractual terms within groundworks.
