Position Overview: A forward-thinking educational institution is seeking to hire a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to support KS2 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) as well as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) requirements. This role involves working closely with individual students and small groups under the supervision of the Class Teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEND.
  • Assist in implementing tailored educational strategies to meet individual needs.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year’s experience working with children, ideally within an educational setting.
  • A genuine interest in supporting students with SEMH and ASD challenges.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A solid understanding of behavior management techniques.
  • Possession of an NVQ Level 3 in Teaching Assistance or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
