The successful applicant will be instrumental in delivering expert consultancy across various IT Operations teams, contributing to the execution of the established IT Infrastructure, Modern Workplace, and Cloud Strategy. This role provides an exciting chance to utilize cutting-edge Microsoft Cloud technologies and management platforms (such as Intune) to create, engineer, and implement workstation configurations and standards that align with business and cybersecurity needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical consultancy across IT Operations teams.
- Assist in the execution of the agreed IT Infrastructure, Modern Workplace, and Cloud Strategy.
- Collaborate with IT leadership and fellow engineers to implement IT strategies.
- Design and establish workstation configurations and standards utilizing Microsoft Cloud technologies and management platforms (Intune).
- Evaluate the impact of IT Infrastructure, Operations, and Cloud strategies across the organization.
- Engage with clients to comprehend their business requirements and translate them into effective Azure cloud solutions.
- Architect Azure cloud infrastructure ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.
- Formulate and execute cloud migration strategies for seamless transitions of existing applications and workloads to Azure.
- Deploy and configure Azure services, including virtual machines, networks, storage, identity management, and security.
- Develop and enforce cloud governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience as a Cloud Consultant or in a similar capacity with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- In-depth knowledge of architecting and implementing Azure solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Comprehensive understanding of Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Security Centre.
- Experience with cloud migration and hybrid cloud environments.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell or other relevant programming languages.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate, are preferred.
