Job Description

HMRC is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the Data Analytics Team's (DAT) data governance and security efforts. As the Data Governance and Intelligence Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the secure and compliant movement of bulk data across government.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement data exchange documentation, including MoUs, DPIAs, and CoRAs, in collaboration with cross-government stakeholders.
  2. Ensure all projects are compliant with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
  3. Collaborate with GovDET and internal stakeholders to resolve data exchange issues.
  4. Oversee assurance activity of DAT portfolio, ensuring data security and governance.
  5. Embed a risk management culture within DAT, implementing a Tier 5 risk management framework.

Requirements:

  1. Strong understanding of data security and GDPR principles.
  2. Experience in leading assurance or compliance activity relative to data security.
  3. Ability to develop data exchange documentation and engage with stakeholders.
  4. Understanding of risk management and data retention.
