Job Title: Painting Operative

The MSS Group is a specialist provider of facilities, industrial and environmental services with expertise in hazardous, highly regulated and complex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To deliver contractual obligations in accordance with client expectations and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • To be proactive and reactive to the Health & Safety of the team and others on site, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • To prepare all surfaces and surrounding areas to be ready for painting, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • To ensure the correct paint is used on the correct surfaces, taking into account the properties of the materials.
  • To mix paint and thinners to the desired requirements, following established procedures.
  • To maintain good housekeeping standards before, during and on completion of a task, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • To communicate regularly with the Supervisor to guarantee smooth operation and contract delivery, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Health & Safety awareness and knowledge of COSHH regulations.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Knowledge of the properties of paint and other coating materials, ensuring correct application and usage.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and tasks accordingly, managing time effectively.
