About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our team at SER (Staffing) Ltd. As a key member of our aftersales service team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our clients across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform installations, maintenance, and repair work on robotic packaging machines and EOL packaging lines.
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure machinery operates at optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams for wiring and rewiring tasks.
  • Interrogate and work with PLCs to diagnose and solve electrical issues.
  • Focus on servo drives and control systems to ensure precision in machine operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support during field visits.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong electrical qualification and relevant experience in reading electrical diagrams, wiring, and rewiring.
  • Experience in interrogating PLCs and a strong understanding of electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • A willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland, with occasional overnight stays.
