About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Class Teacher to join our team at Harris Primary Academy South Kenton. As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, promoting their academic and personal growth, and contributing to the development of our school community.

As a key member of our teaching staff, you will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and provide feedback to students and parents. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and contributing to the development of our school's curriculum and policies.

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about education, has a strong commitment to student achievement, and is able to work collaboratively as part of a team. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic teacher who is looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to the development of our school's curriculum and policies
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve school goals

Requirements

  • QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree
  • Successful experience of teaching the primary curriculum
  • Good understanding of current theory and best practice in teaching and learning
  • Good subject knowledge of core National Curriculum
  • Good understanding of child development and progression
  • Understanding of effective strategies for managing behaviour within the classroom
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
