Zachary Daniels Recruitment is seeking to appoint a Graduate Area Manager Trainee for a prominent grocery retailer in the UK, focusing on their operations in the South East region.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a graduate-level Store Manager or Deputy Manager to become part of a high-achieving organization. The position entails overseeing multiple stores within your designated area, ensuring robust financial results and outstanding customer service.

As a Graduate Area Manager Trainee, you should have either successfully completed a retail graduate program or have established yourself in a leadership capacity within a Retail or Hospitality setting, whether in a multi-site or single-site operation. You will bring exceptional leadership qualities, enthusiasm, and ambition to a grocery chain recognized as a market leader in the UK.

This position is suitable for an aspiring Deputy or Store Manager looking to advance their career or an experienced Area Manager eager for new challenges within a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a new Graduate Area Manager Trainee who can:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead your stores in delivering exceptional service standards
  • Achieve KPIs aligned with business objectives
  • Motivate and guide your teams to excel across your area
  • Embrace learning the business from the ground up
  • Create a positive and engaging work atmosphere
  • Maintain high standards in all operational areas
  • Set clear expectations for service, standards, and operations
  • Manage profit and loss, budgets, and sales forecasts
  • Establish relationships with head office and key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
  • Support company events and local marketing initiatives

Successful candidates will demonstrate proven experience in retail or hospitality management in a leadership role, such as Store Manager, Deputy Manager of a large store, or Area Manager.

A strong commitment to delivering high standards, exceptional service, and fostering an engaged team is essential. A valid UK driving license is required.

Compensation: The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, with a potential range up to £55,000 plus a company vehicle.
