Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead our Fusion Programme, which aims to implement new technologies to enhance customer service and simplify processes across our British Gas field business.

About the Role:

As Programme Director, you will be responsible for maintaining a strategic focus and ensuring that the programme's vision and goals align with British Gas Services and Solutions. You will nurture complex stakeholders to deliver the programme and provide strong leadership to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance the Programme Vision and Objectives
  • Define programme scope and boundaries
  • Establish a governance structure to drive clear accountability and responsibility
  • Manage resource allocation effectively and mitigate programme risks
  • Prioritise high-impact activities and develop a stakeholder engagement strategy
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics for the programme
  • Develop training and deployment plans, and communication strategies
  • Balance the risk between the need for change and operational stability
  • Ensure credible planning across the programme takes place, taking account of interdependencies, and that programme finances are managed in line with approved budgets

Requirements:

You will have major programme leadership skills gained from a large complex organisation, preferably in the energy, FMCG, or utilities sectors. Experience in Salesforce CRM software implementation is essential. You will also have a deep understanding of IT-enabled business change and the delivery of benefits in a large, complex organisation with sometimes conflicting needs across different stakeholders.
