The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Consultant to join our team. As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for handling incoming warm queries from customers to meet their needs, with the goal of closing the sale. You will also be responsible for generating sales through outbound calls to leads generated via our website and work to problem solve and ensure an accurate, efficient, and smooth sales process.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Respond to all customer inbound & Internet enquiries relating to eligibility, plan benefit coverage, policy terms and conditions and strive for first call resolution
  2. Achieve sales targets pre-determined by management
  3. Communicate regularly with members
  4. Achieve / exceed set productivity and quality standards
  5. Adhere to regulatory targets within our territorial limits
  6. Sell with integrity and treat customers fairly
  7. Interface effectively with internal colleagues, the client management team, the medical team staff etc. to resolve customer issues
  8. Maintain accurate records and files as required
  9. Actively support other team members and the achievement of team objectives
  10. Provide support to less experienced team members
  11. Identify potential process improvements and make recommendations to Team Leader
  12. Carry out other ad hoc tasks as required to meet business needs
Requirements
  1. Strong customer focus with ability to identify and solve problems
  2. Excellent interpersonal skills
  3. Good verbal and written communication
  4. Ability to exercise judgement
  5. Ability to organise, prioritise and manage workflow
  6. The ability to work well in a team environment
  7. Basic system navigation and Microsoft application skills
  8. Good keyboard skills
  9. Regulatory awareness
  10. Proven track record in telemarketing insurance sales inbound and outbound, ideally in a non-advised sales process
  11. 1 - 2 years' experience in health industry, insurance background or outbound sales background
