Counsellor on Placement

We are seeking a qualified Counsellor to join our team as a Counsellor on Placement. As a Counsellor on Placement, you will work with children and young people aged 4-18 in our partner schools, providing emotional and therapeutic support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist, or studying towards one of these professions. You will have a strong understanding of child development and the ability to work effectively with children and young people.
What We OfferAs a Counsellor on Placement with Place2Be, you will receive a high level of support and training, including regular supervision, tailored training workshops, and a comprehensive induction programme. You will also have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year, which are recognised as continuing professional development time.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in our partner schools.
- Work with children and young people to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
- Attend regular supervision and training sessions to ensure you are equipped to provide the best possible support to our clients.
- Participate in our comprehensive induction programme to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
- Attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist, or studying towards one of these professions.
- Have a strong understanding of child development and the ability to work effectively with children and young people.
- Be able to commit to a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children.
- Be available to attend regular supervision and training sessions.
