Care Assistant for Adults with Complex Needs

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Care Assistant to join our team in a unique supported tenancy for two adults with complex needs. The successful candidate will provide support to service users to live their lives as independently as possible and maximize their opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to adults with complex needs, including wheelchair-bound individuals
  • Establish good daily routines and perform personal care tasks
  • Support service users with seizure care, including training provided
  • Display emotional resilience to support service users with life-limiting conditions
  • Work to a flexible schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with adults with complex needs
  • Experience in or prepared to undertake training in PEG feeding, epilepsy, and moving and handling
  • Strong communication skills
  • Registration under the PVG scheme
  • Full driving license (essential)
  • SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (desirable)
