Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Multiskilled Technician to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the planned preventive maintenance and repair of multi-utility plant sites, including multi-fuel boilers and associated burner systems, steam systems, MTHW systems, LTHW heating systems, control systems, pumps, motors, electrical infrastructure, oil systems, fault diagnosis, repair, and some minor installation works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned preventive maintenance and repair of multi-utility plant sites, including multi-fuel boilers and associated burner systems, steam systems, MTHW systems, LTHW heating systems, control systems, pumps, motors, electrical infrastructure, oil systems, fault diagnosis, repair, and some minor installation works.
  • Work on a large range of industrial boilers, combustion equipment, and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) engines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Veolia's operations, including safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Proven electrical fault finding skills and electrical qualifications - HNC electrical engineering or ONC electrical engineering qualification.
  • Combined Heat & Power experience would be beneficial, and a gas safe qualification would be advantageous, as would COSHH awareness and IOSH core.
  • Steam boiler plant experience and gas and oil combustion experience is also desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment.
