Strategic Insights and Analytics Role
Summary:
This is a role for a Data Insights Strategist who will develop and implement data-driven research and analytics programs providing strategic insights which support long-term business goals with significant potential to impact company earnings.
Responsibilities include gathering market and customer insights using both primary and secondary information, benchmarking, and opportunity evaluation. Responsible for data research and business analytics supporting a major brand or group of brands, as well as ad hoc research as needed. Identify issues and opportunities, define and prioritize information needs, creatively apply data research techniques to drive strategic thought and effective decision-making.
Key Accountabilities:
- Contributes to shaping and implementing the integrated Data Insights and Analytics plan for a business.
- Supports in defining a customer-centric vision and priorities for the Data Insights and Analytics team based on needs of the business, Data Insights and Analytics vision, input from team and stakeholders.
- Proactively proposes analytical solutions to business questions and problems and provides key stakeholders (e.g., TA teams) with new data-driven ideas and actionable recommendations that enables better decision-making and enhance business excellence.
- Co-develops and step-changes data research to develop deeper and more integrated customer and market insights.
- Leverages modern, non-traditional tools, strategies, and advanced technological ideas using internal and external data sources to gain market insights.
- Explores and evaluates new data sources for targeting to drive Data Insights and innovation and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Serves as consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives.
- Supports the development of customer models to enable country and global analytics.
Requirements:
- Proven understanding of/experience in brand sales and marketing demonstrating commercial and customer focus
- Proven ability to build trust-based relationships allowing for strong levels of challenge with key stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills and understanding of analytical models and systems
- Strong project management skills
- Proven ability to identify insights and business opportunities to improve business performance and verbalize that to key stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership skills both vertically and horizontally across the organization
- Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent desirable
