Job Summary

The Deputy Manager will play a key role in supporting the Housing and Independence Service in Doncaster Council. The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people in and leaving care, and will be a supportive and inspirational leader of the support team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Housing and Independence Service in delivering the 'Key to Your Future Project' in its entirety.
  • Work with the support team to provide formulations of the young people prior to them starting the programme.
  • Deliver dialectical behavioural Therapy based programme, that the young people work through with staff support.
  • Process the work completed by the young people through to AQA's unit award scheme for accreditation certificates.
  • Have a good understanding of the Health & Safety responsibilities of the building.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with young people in and leaving care.
  • Supportive and inspirational leadership skills.
  • Some experience of therapeutic approaches and a willingness to develop the use of these in the Project.
  • Innovative and creative thinking skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the pathway to Independence & Housing for young people.
