Job Title: System Architect at HKT

Overview: HKT, a leading telecommunications provider, is seeking a talented System Architect to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge Cloud technologies and design robust business solutions tailored to our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders to convert business requirements into architectural frameworks.
  • Craft comprehensive technology architectures that align with organizational goals.
  • Establish application and system integration methodologies and best practices.
  • Assess and choose technology solutions that fulfill business needs.
  • Develop architectural roadmaps, plans, and engineering guidelines.
  • Simplify complex technologies for effective communication with business users.
  • Serve as a technical authority to partner with teams and vendors on cloud initiatives.
  • Guide development teams and troubleshoot technical challenges.
  • Review existing technologies, propose enhancements, and ensure compliance with information security standards.
  • Effectively communicate architectural choices and maintain network and architecture documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT development, with a minimum of 5 years in architectural roles.
  • Significant experience in designing Application Infrastructure and Data architectures for both on-premise and Cloud environments.
  • Expertise in enterprise system design within cloud or hybrid settings.
  • Familiarity with API architecture, Cloud Infrastructure, security protocols, event-driven architecture, and containerization.
  • Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, web technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, RESTful APIs, and database systems.
  • Cloud Platform certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven and collaborative team player with excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficient in English.
