About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in patient areas, including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing cleaning supplies.
- Work collaboratively with the Facilities department to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
- Provide excellent customer care to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in infection control and cleaning procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning as a paid profession.
- Knowledge of hygiene standards and infection control.
- Ability to work under pressure and be flexible to the needs of the service.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
