Position Overview
This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to enter or re-enter the fire protection industry as a Pump Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance on Sprinkler Fire Pumps in accordance with established standards.
- Gain a thorough understanding of fire alarm systems and sprinkler configurations, including pumps and diesel engines.
- Assist fellow engineers in diagnosing and repairing issues related to fire sprinkler pumps.
- Execute repairs on rotating machinery to a high standard of quality.
- Document findings and actions taken during each inspection or breakdown.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Valid UK Driving License.
- Experience or familiarity with Sprinkler Fire Pumps is preferred.
- Background in working with diesel engines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients.
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail for accurate job reporting.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision, while recognizing when to seek assistance.
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance-related fields is desirable but not mandatory.
