Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with serious mental illness.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to promote recovery and independence.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including occupational therapy sessions, to address the physical and emotional needs of service users.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Provide education and training to service users, their families, and carers to promote self-management and empowerment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures to ensure best practice and quality improvement.
Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working in mental health settings, preferably in low secure or rehabilitation environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and services.
