Position Overview

Matchtech is seeking a dedicated Water Systems Technical Engineer to join our team in the water services sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical assistance and support in the water treatment domain.
  • Establish and uphold engineering standards and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Mentor and train engineers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Provide effective technical and process support to various stakeholders, both on-site and off-site.
  • Review and assist with non-routine tasks before they are delegated to the workshop.
  • Contribute to the specification and preparation of equipment for various projects.
Documentation and Training

Prepare essential documents including:

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Operational and Maintenance Manuals
  • Commissioning Plans
  • Technical Bulletins

Actively participate in the creation and execution of training programs for new engineers, sales personnel, and external clients. This includes:

  • Development of video tutorials
  • Establishment of standard working practices
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental)
  • Experience in technical writing, particularly in creating SOPs, Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), Commissioning Plans, and Technical Bulletins within the water treatment sector.
  • A strong grasp of water treatment processes, equipment, and systems, along with knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
  • Excellent technical report writing capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Office Suite and technical documentation software.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously as required by business needs.
Industry Experience

Relevant experience in water and wastewater treatment processes is essential for this role.
