About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Chapter One Restaurant Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen is run efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Oversee the kitchen team, ensuring that all staff are working efficiently and effectively
  • Monitor food costs and inventory levels, making recommendations for cost savings
  • Ensure that all health and safety standards are met, and that the kitchen is clean and well-maintained
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
