Role Overview:
The Lubrication Specialist is responsible for executing the comprehensive lubrication operations at the facility, ensuring optimal lubrication performance to enhance operational efficiency and plant reliability. The focus is on maximizing plant availability while minimizing costs through effective energy management and sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and oversee the complete lubrication processes in alignment with the computerized lubrication scheduling system.
- Maintain and service automated lubrication systems to guarantee their proper functionality.
- Manage lubricant inventory, coordinate lubricant supplies, and ensure the proper storage and disposal of waste lubricants and materials.
- Adhere to and assist in upholding the established Engineering Standards at the facility.
- Create work orders and manage notifications using the CheckProof system.
- Develop and sustain lubrication-focused Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) programs, including oil analysis.
- Support the management of the lubrication maintenance contract on site.
- Contribute to the preparation and development of the annual maintenance budget.
- Assist in formulating and executing investment plans related to lubrication.
- Conduct technical evaluations of lubrication services, strategic spare parts, and related projects or investments.
- Participate in design reviews to assess Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and maintainability.
- Prepare and update Preventive Maintenance (PM) checklists for lubrication tasks.
- Drive improvements in lubrication practices across the site.
- Collaborate on Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) with the Engineering and Production teams.
- Help establish and update a formal Critical Condition Levels system for key equipment.
- Enhance the preventive maintenance plan and lubrication management in partnership with the planner and stores supervisor.
- Provide training on lubrication procedures as necessary.
Additional tasks may be assigned by management as required.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: Competitive, ranging from £30,000 to £35,000
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
