HGV Technician Job Description

At Volvo Group, we're committed to shaping the future of sustainable transport solutions. As an HGV Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on HGVs according to Volvo's procedures and standards.
  • Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with the Parts Team to ensure accurate replacement parts are fitted.
  • Conduct road tests and assist with roadside breakdowns.
  • Ensure accurate time recording and completion of job cards.
  • Support the development of young trainees and apprentices.
Requirements:
  • C&G, NVQ3, or equivalent qualification in HGV maintenance.
  • Relevant experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
  • Basic knowledge of computer software packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
