Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Manager/Supervisor to oversee and manage all aspects of HVAC installation projects. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with industry standards and client requirements.

The successful jobholder will be responsible for:

  1. Leading and managing HVAC installation projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
  2. Supervising and coordinating the installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, equipment, and controls, ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, and safety standards.
  3. Overseeing the testing, start-up, and commissioning of HVAC systems to verify proper installation, functionality, and performance.
  4. Implementing quality control measures to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
  5. Providing leadership, direction, and guidance to installation crews, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure efficient project execution and adherence to project timelines.
  6. Training and mentoring team members on proper installation techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation to enhance skills and knowledge.
  7. Serving as the primary point of contact for clients regarding installation progress, issues, and concerns, ensuring open communication and timely resolution of any issues.
  8. Maintaining accurate project documentation, including installation records, test reports, commissioning documentation, and project progress reports.
  9. Enforcing safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment, identify potential hazards, and mitigate risks associated with HVAC installation activities.
  10. Identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements in HVAC installation practices and procedures.

Qualifications

  1. Strong knowledge of HVAC installation, testing, and commissioning, with proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  2. Previous experience working with Marine, commercial, industrial, or institutional HVAC projects.
  3. Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing HVAC installation and safety practices.
  4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  5. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
