Position: Fabric Engineer / Maintenance Technician
Location: Telford
Salary: Circa £27,000 per annum

Working Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a skilled Fabric Engineer / Maintenance Technician to perform essential maintenance tasks across a sizable facility.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct both scheduled and on-demand maintenance on a variety of fabric (structural) and limited engineering assets.
  • Ensure all activities are executed safely, promptly, and in accordance with company standards and contractual commitments.
  • Implement Legionella control and monitoring procedures.
  • Assess and repair floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, doors (including fire-rated doors), windows, and related furnishings.
  • Inspect, fix, and replace lighting fixtures and maintain drainage systems.
  • Evaluate and restore both standalone and built-in furniture.

Decorative and General Maintenance:
  • Carry out painting, redecorating, and the installation of pictures, signs, and notices.
  • Support engineering personnel with various tasks as required.

Reactive and Proactive Maintenance:
  • Address reactive maintenance requests across facilities while proactively identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Ensure adequate supplies are available for maintenance activities, providing parts lists and estimated timelines for any necessary remedial work.

This position demands a proactive, safety-oriented, and detail-focused individual with robust maintenance and repair capabilities, a dedication to high standards, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
