Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the warehouse supervisor, you will be responsible for loading vehicles ready for customer deliveries and ensuring that all stock is handled with care to maintain the highest quality standards.
  • You will work in a team environment, adhering to site Health & Safety regulations and Safe Systems of Work, and operate mechanical handling equipment as required.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for checking picked stock and assembled loads prior to dispatch, and ensuring that high standards are met in line with Ikea's quality processes.
  • You will also be involved in a range of duties to support the operational efficiency and general housekeeping and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within warehousing is essential, and you will have the ability to read and understand instructions, count accurately, and have the appropriate hand, eye, and foot coordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment.
  • LLOP/Counter Balance/Reach Truck/PPT Licenses are desirable, and you will be reliable, self-motivated, a strong team player, and have a flexible approach to work.
  • You will also be physically able to assist in the movement of goods, which may include bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching, and lifting in line with Health and Safety regulations.
