Job Summary

Moog is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in the Machine Shop. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machines to ensure the efficient and accurate completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up machines for allocated jobs and perform machining tasks to meet specifications.
  • Conduct precision measurements and inspections to ensure quality standards.
  • Assist in the inspection of goods and materials, and perform dimensional checks.
  • Remove and replace dull or broken tooling, and sharpen cutting tools as needed.
  • Perform benchwork and assist in training department employees.
  • Purchase and maintain necessary tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and detect and report any issues or defects.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
Requirements
  • Desirable: Indentured apprenticeship, craft, or technical qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Competent in setting up and using machine tools and precision measurement equipment.
