Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lecturer in Computing to join our team at the University of Central Lancashire. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and leading our Software Engineering programmes, contributing to the evolution and growth of our academic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality teaching and learning experiences for our students.
  • Lead and manage the Software Engineering programmes, ensuring academic quality and reputational integrity.
  • Provide course leadership for our Apprenticeship programmes, supporting the coordination of our academic team at the Preston campus.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, promoting knowledge exchange and research opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of new academic programmes and initiatives, aligning with the University's strategic objectives.
Requirements
  • A good honours degree (or equivalent) in a STEM computing-related subject.
  • A professional teaching qualification, applicable to HE, and/or membership of the Higher Education Academy, or be willing to obtain these shortly after appointment.
  • Experience of academic leadership within the computing domain, with a breadth of knowledge across the wider computing domain.
  • A developing reputation in a particular specialism, with a strong recognition of success metrics and high academic quality.
