About the Role

Ventry Care Homes is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Home Manager to join our team at our residential care home in north London. As a Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care and support.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the staff team on shift, ensuring that they are equipped to provide high-quality care to our residents.
  • Deliver care to our residents, ensuring that their needs are met and their dignity is respected.
  • Protect our residents from avoidable harm and abuse, managing risks and ensuring that our care staff provide assistance in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, mentoring new care staff and ensuring that they are equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Manage the medication process, ensuring that our residents' medicines are received, administered, recorded, and returned correctly.
  • Review and monitor the quality of our service, driving improvement and ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care.
  • Complete relevant safety checks, ensuring that our home is a safe and healthy environment for our residents.
  • Promote social activities at our home, supporting and facilitating access to the local community.
Requirements
  • NVQ 5 / RMN / QCF completed.
  • A proven track record as a registered manager or other senior position within a residential care setting.
  • Elderly / dementia experience.
  • A sound knowledge of the CQC and applicable legislation / standards.
  • Dynamic and enthusiastic, with strong leadership skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to operate software platforms used to manage staff, service users, and medication.
