Key Responsibilities
  1. Range Planning: Plan product ranges and prepare sales and stock plans to ensure that products appear in the right stores and website at the right time, in the right quantities, and with replenishment monitored.

  3. Communication: Communicate product range plans to our Visual Merchandising, Retail, Stock, and eCommerce teams.
  4. Financial Planning: Work with the Finance Director to forecast profits, sales, and plan budgets to control stock levels.
  5. Data Management: Maintain a comprehensive portfolio of range plan data.
  6. Performance Analysis: Analyze previous season's sales and report on current season's lines at a weekly Buying and Merchandising meeting.
  7. Promotion Planning: Analyze bestsellers and slow sellers, plan promotions with the Marketing team, and issue markdowns.
  8. Market Awareness: Maintain awareness of competitors' performance and cycle market trends.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Previous experience in merchandising and/or retail/business management.
  2. Cycling Knowledge: Having an interest in cycling is an advantage, but not essential.
  3. Qualifications: A finance and/or business qualification would be preferred.
  4. Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills, including proficiency in Excel, sound decision-making, and the ability to plan and prioritize.
  5. Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work well in a team and build effective working relationships with a range of people.
  6. Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand what will appeal to customers.
