We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of students with a variety of additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the teacher in planning, preparing and delivering lessons to students with additional needs.
  • Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with complex needs.
  • Assist with the management of student behavior and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
Requirements:
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently.
  • Experience working with students with additional needs.
  • DBS registered to the update service or willing to apply for one.
