Job Title: Commercial Ladieswear Wovens Casual Bottoms Designer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Ladieswear Wovens Casual Bottoms Designer to join our team at The Retail Partnership Ltd. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating seasonal mood and trend boards, designing seasonal capsule collections, and researching and sourcing new design ideas and fabrics/trims.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create seasonal mood and trend boards with the design team to drive inspiration and direction for our collections.
  • Design seasonal capsule collections, including key shapes, colour palettes, and fabric direction, to meet the needs of our key accounts.
  • Research and source new design ideas and fabrics/trims to stay ahead of the competition and meet the demands of our customers.
  • Design and develop commercial and fashion-forward product for our range and clients, ensuring that our designs are on-trend and meet the needs of our target market.
  • Attend fabric fairs and inspirational shopping trips to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the industry.
  • Attend regular design meetings with our Sales Manager and customer buying/design teams to ensure that our designs meet the needs of our customers and drive sales.
Person Specification:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong background in wovens and a focus on young to mid-market ladies fashion.
  • Excellent design skills, with the ability to create commercial and fashion-forward product that meets the needs of our target market.
  • Strong research and sourcing skills, with the ability to stay ahead of the competition and meet the demands of our customers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with our design team, Sales Manager, and customer buying/design teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Fully computer literate, with experience of using design software such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
