As a Senior Engineering Project Leader within the 'Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology' (ADS&T) sector, you will spearhead our Programme Delivery Practice. Your responsibilities will be primarily client-facing, focusing on identifying, shaping, and enhancing delivery capabilities. You will guide Agile delivery teams across various sectors, including Defence, Security & Intelligence, Energy, and Transportation, while assisting our clients in maximizing the advantages of digital transformation and fostering innovative operational methods.

Your Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise-

Project Management encompasses overseeing all facets of the project lifecycle, with a particular focus on the following skills:
  • Ability to create, manipulate, and manage financial forecasting data using Excel and company tools, along with the capacity to report this information effectively.
  • Proven understanding of financial controls and the capability to interpret and present financial data.
  • Skill in recognizing and managing risks and opportunities, with an awareness of their financial implications.
  • Understanding of change management and its effects on project margins, resources, and outcomes.
  • Capability to plan and execute projects with a focus on time, cost, and quality.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract management.
  • Ability to commission and oversee third-party contractors.
Interpersonal Skills-
  • Capacity to engage with individuals at all levels within both AtkinsRéalis and our clients' organizations.
  • Management and supervision of your project team will require demonstrating the interpersonal skills necessary to optimize team performance.
  • Ability to build trust with clients and enhance the AtkinsRéalis brand.
  • Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for interacting with individuals at every level of their respective organizations.
What You Bring:
  • Responsibility for bringing projects to fruition and directing project teams across a wide array of Defence domains, including airworthiness & air safety, training, systems engineering, mechanical systems, IT & security, safety, and supportability.
  • Accountability for the complete project management lifecycle, ensuring alignment with client needs and those of AtkinsRéalis.
  • Responsibility for delivering contracted work on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and possess the skills necessary to consult effectively with clients.
  • Commitment to continuous development of project management skills and knowledge, along with the pursuit of professional accreditation.
