Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert HR advice and support to clients, ensuring compliance with employment law and best practices. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs, offering customised solutions, and assisting with the implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Consultation: Provide expert HR advice and support on a variety of issues, including employment law, employee relations, performance management, and organisational development.
  • Policy Development: Assist clients in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that comply with current legislation and best practices.
  • Employee Relations: Manage employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Performance Management: Advise on performance management processes, including setting objectives, conducting appraisals, and managing underperformance.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver HR training programs covering areas such as employment law updates, management skills, and HR best practices.
  • HR Projects: Lead and participate in HR projects, including restructuring, redundancy processes, and change management initiatives.
  • Compliance: Ensure clients are compliant with employment law and other relevant regulations, providing regular updates and guidance on legislative changes.
  • Documentation: Prepare and review HR documentation, including employment contracts, employee handbooks, and disciplinary letters.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing proactive HR support.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience as an HR Consultant or in a similar HR role, with a strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Qualifications: CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent HR qualification.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex HR issues clearly and concisely.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical solutions.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
