Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Verification Engineer to join our System IP team at Arm. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the verification of complex IP products from design to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive verification strategies in collaboration with the RTL design team.
  • Create and review design verification documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Design and implement SystemVerilog UVM-based verification IP and testbenches to ensure thorough testing.
  • Improve existing testbenches to increase performance, quality, and efficiency.
  • Test and debug Verilog RTL to ensure correct functionality.
  • Define and implement functional coverage to ensure comprehensive testing.
  • Plan and track tasks to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Drive the execution to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
  • Cochain and mentor junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in RTL verification for complex IP products.
  • Proficiency in a hardware verification language, preferably SystemVerilog UVM.
  • Experience in developing coverage-driven constrained random test environments.
  • Experience in producing specifications and documentation describing complex designs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

  • Experience in low power RTL design and verification.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
  • Strong software engineering skills, including understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of formal verification techniques and tools.
  • Competency in C++ or Assembly language (preferably Arm) programming.
  • Competency in a hardware design language, preferably Verilog.
  • Practical experience of working on microprocessor or complex system interconnect and peripheral designs.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of computer architecture.
  • Exposure to all stages of the design cycle: initial concept, specification, implementation, and testing, documentation, and support.
  • Some team leadership experience, including planning and managing tasks.
  • Line management experience.
